How it started　/ 　事の始まり

It has been my dream to create a car for him over 20 years.

I’ve been just wishing to do something with him since the age of 9 when I found myself intrigued
by his music even though I was not a musician. 

Then, around the age of 20, while
studying to be a car designer, I looked up at the poster of him on my wall. 

It

had the last letter of his name « d » and the first letter of his

surname  « b » attached and it seemed like the

« db » emblem of a car. 

I said to myself then 

« I just need to create a car for him ! »  

I am not a musician but I was not car designer yet either. But since that day my second dream was set.

彼のために車を作る事は２０年以上前からの夢だった。

音楽家でもない自分は、９歳からの憧れであった彼と、どうにかして何かを一緒にやりたかった。

二十歳すぎ、カーデザイナーになることを夢見て勉強をしていた頃、自分の部屋の壁にデヴィッド・ボウイの『Outside』のポスターが張ってあった。

彼の名前の最後と名字の最初のdとbの文字だけが赤く繋げてあり、記号のようなその“db”の赤い文字は、まるでクルマのエンブレムのように見えた。

「そうだ、彼にクルマを作ればいいんだ。」

そんなひらめきが発端だった。

音楽家でもないがもちろんまだカーデザイナーにもなっていなったけれど

その時から彼の名前を冠したクルマを作ることは僕の夢になった。
